Beginning with rolling the dumpling wrappers, students learned how to add the filling, fold the dough and carefully seal each dumpling. Along the way, they discovered the cultural associations of dumplings with reunion, happiness and good fortune.

Shuttlecocks flew through the air as students tested their balance and coordination. Each student brought a small dragon to life through a series of lively movements, experiencing the festive spirit of traditional Chinese dragon dancing firsthand, while the powerful rhythms of the waist drums added excitement and energy to the occasion.

From traditional food and physical activity to teamwork and folk performance, the program allowed students to experience Chinese culture in an active, joyful and memorable way.

Across five programs in just two-three weeks, students explored an impressive range of Chinese traditions, including theatre, folk art, clothing, crafts, food and physical activities.
Each program was carefully designed for students of different ages and learning backgrounds. Cultural knowledge was brought to life through demonstrations, interaction and hands-on creation, allowing students to become active participants rather than simply observers.
Throughout the activities, students showed enthusiasm, curiosity, creativity and a strong willingness to work together. The variety of workshops, thoughtful organisation and engaging atmosphere received highly positive feedback from participating students and teachers.
We sincerely thank the schools and teachers for their support and collaboration, and every student for bringing such energy and enthusiasm to the programs.
Sydney HSK Centre looks forward to continuing its partnerships with Australian schools and educational organisations. Through high-quality Chinese-language education and diverse cultural programs, we hope to create more opportunities for students to learn Chinese, discover China and build meaningful connections through language and culture.
